It has been a pleasure working with Ed for the past several years. His experience and insights have helped me grow both professionally and personally. There was a session where my issue was used for the group to process. While discussing the issue and following the steps, it was quickly realized that the issue I brought up was only a symptom of a bigger internal issue. After the session, Ed and another team member stayed for another hour or so helping me to process the real issue and come up with a plan to address it. I will always appreciate the time, dedication and empathy he shared that day and ultimately it allowed me to make the changes I needed.

How has your Chair made an impact in your business and/or personal life?
Ed is not just compassionate but challenging. I have had significant personal challenges in recent times he has helped me thing through and talk about. Lending his ear and sharing some wisdom has significantly impacted my life and my happiness. It is more than appreciated. While Ed can be compassionate, he also challenges me to push to be better and for my companies to be better. He doesn’t settle for mediocrity, and he pushes me to also not settle for less than excellence.

The way that Ed leads this group has allowed for me to process a significant disruption in my business and collectively with his help and the help of the group, I came to the best possible outcome and my business is much better as a result. This issue I am speaking about is when two key personnel decided to try to take over part of my business.

Ed has held me accountable to being both a better person and a better leader. He doesn’t settle for anything less than excellence and cares personally about your success.

Ed’s catalogue of information provided to both the entire group, and I is tremendous and timely. When we process difficult situations or circumstances, he typically provides follow up resources that give additional context and confidence that the final decision being made is the correct one.

Ed has been instrumental in holding me accountable for both my business and personal goals. He has supplied valuable information for my business and plays a crucial role in keeping me on track.

My group and chair have given me valuable contacts and insights that I wouldn’t have acquired otherwise. This information, received monthly, helps me understand what is effective or not in their businesses, contributing significantly to the growth of my own.

Being a part of this group has equipped me with the skill to prioritize tasks based on their importance, making decisions more effortlessly. Additionally, I have learned the art of delegation and the ability to confidently say “no” when necessary. The speakers and Ed’s real-world perspective are priceless.

Ed provided invaluable assistance and served as a rational sounding board during a significant transition in our operations team. Despite the challenges, Ed’s words and guidance played a crucial role in guiding me toward the best and most logical solution. He recognizes the human aspect in business, understanding that every decision has an impact on people. His expertise is appreciated.

How has your Chair made an impact in your business and/or personal life?
When I met Ed and joined his group, we were a $45 Million in revenues company. Through his incredible leadership and helping using our group to help me process issues, we have had tremendous success growing our company to $200 Million in revenue. Not only has he been there for our business, but he has also helped us grow our Leadership Team and on a personal level has helped me through many trying times. Ed is the best!

Stated above but the most important help I have received from Ed is his ability to make us all believe in our decisions and when they go wrong to learn from them and get right back on that back and start peddling faster and smarter.

How has your Chair made an impact in your business and/or personal life?
Having Ed in my life for the past 15 years has matured me into a better husband, father, friend and leader.

Being a part of Eds groups over the past 15 years has allowed me to grow my intelligence around all aspects of business including finance, operations, sales, planning, problem solving, people building, relationship building and knowing my true self. I can say with confidence that I would not have accomplished all that I have without the EDAGE/Vistage experience.

How has your Chair made an impact in your business and/or personal life?
Ed brings great perspectives, access to information, and acts as an accountability partner for me and my fellow Vistage members. He pushes us to reach our full potential personally and professionally.

Can you share a specific example of what your Chair or the group has given you or helped you with?
I was struggling with my Sr. Leadership team structure which was impacting not only our organizations performance but also my mental state and overall commitment to my work. Ed helped me see the impact and made me do something about it beyond just talking about it and wringing my hands over it. I’ll never forget his advice – do you like working with your team? what are you going to do about it and when?

How has your Chair made an impact in your business and/or personal life?
Ed is amazing at digging into challenges and finding the root causes. The questions he asks and the advice he gives has, on many occasions, caused me to re-look at a situation and take a different, much more productive course. I am 100% confident that business is significantly better as a result of Ed’s advice and critical questioning.

Can you share a specific example of what your Chair or the group has given you or helped you with?
The best example of the caring that Ed shows to the Vistage members in our group is his willingness to ask the tough questions – to get people out of their comfort zones. For me particular, it was the probing questions of the group and Ed that changed how I approached a key relationship at work – a change that has really paid off.

How has your Chair made an impact in your business and/or personal life?
In the short time that I have gotten to know Ed he has made feel supported and heard in my current professional and personal life. He has been able to offer advice and comfort while also guiding me to grow by showing me tools to do the work necessary for that growth.

Can you share a specific example of what your Chair or the group has given you or helped you with?
Ed had me write affirmations for myself to read daily. Since that day I have read them to help remind me of who I am and what I’m working towards. That has helped me stay focused and positive when I start to feel lost.

How has your Chair made an impact in your business and/or personal life?
By forcing me to obtain a Mentor. 1-1 non judgmental conversation regarding business and life have been invaluable.

Suggesting that we (I) meet with our direct supervisor(s) for 1-1 weekly conversations. This has helped to open up the door of transparency for my career goals and has allowed my supervisor to obtain a better understanding of my contributions to the company.

Ed is a very genuine, helpful, and supportive person. He’s very open to spending Vistage group time on important issues even if they aren’t part of the day’s itinerary. He encourages interaction and is always honest in his responses. He’s made a positive impact on me because I know I always have someone that I can ask for advice or bounce ideas off of.

Can you share a specific example of what your Chair or the group has given you or helped you with?
Ed has been very helpful to me by providing support around 1:1 meetings and how to get my managers to get to know their direct reports better.

How has your Chair made an impact in your business and/or personal life?
Ed has a gift for teaching business leaders to see their world (business & personal) holistically rather than as separate parts of their lives. Accepting that it’s all just one life with many types of moving parts promotes a healthier way of creating synergies.

Accountability – Like most small business leaders, being held accountable as the leader within our organization rarely happens, thus Ed & the group are critical for keeping me in line.

Ed has been an awesome motivator, teacher, advisor, and so much more. While working with Ed, our business has increased revenue nearly 3x, and he’s helped us through some of our most challenging situations

He has helped us work through some tricky situations, especially concerning business partner equity, providing clear and solid guidance on what to do next.

He has allowed me to validate the importance of balance in my life as well as a wholistic way of approaching opportunities.

He gives us productive insight on our business while keeping us, as people in mind. It is refreshing and challenges us to be introspective on a lot of how we handle situations at work and home.

He has guided me to a path of balance, hope, and aspiration. I often felt I was stuck in a loop. He has shown me how to find the path best fit for me.

He has helped me balance risk with results. I am not terrified of the financial dashboard anymore. I see debt as a potential for support not as object of terror.

Ed has pushed me to be the best I can be. He has provided me with support through a challenging year. I am truly grateful for his guidance.

Ed answered the phone one evening (while riding his Peloton bike) because he knew I was dealing with a difficult situation at work. He took time to talk the issue over with me and helped to set me up for a successful meeting the following day.

Ed holds the team accountable, and is always focused on driving us forward. He is quick to assess a situation and decisive in this thinking. He may possess the most business acumen and wisdom of anyone I’ve ever met.

He has helped me be more structured in how I see the business, assess each month, and track progress.

Ed has made a great impact in a short time. I been in the group for less than a year, but the incites about focus and business have been very helpful to me.

I was struggling with a topic of contention between myself and the CEO. Ed, and the group helped me walk through some scenarios and approaches that gave me a better perspective of how to receive the issue from my CEO and on my responses.

Ed challenges me in a way nobody else does. He’s relentless in pushing for better and better performance. He’s the coach with the whistle, running alongside you, telling you to keep running harder, that you can do better, to dig deeper. And you know he is doing it because he cares for you and wants to see you reach your true potential.

Setting specific goals and monitoring them regularly.

Ed has challenged me to be the person I want to be, to not settle for the status quo and to choose to do hard things.

Ed has given me valuable feedback on the strength of my organization’s President as a leader, empowering me to fully embrace the significant change within our organization by taking ownership of my impact on the bottom line.

Ed Robinson is exceptional !! I have been attending Associated Pest Management Association meetings for over 40 years. Since Ed began working with our group many years ago the meetings went from good to great . He is very smart and organized . I am confidant that he will make a make a significant contribution wherever he engages!!!

Several principals of the Tyler Companies and TDD Real Estate Services have participated in Vistage ranging from 5-10 years. Ed has been an invaluable chair for us, and has consulted to our companies outside of the Vistage forum. Ed draws from his vast insight and expertise gained by having worked with a broad range of successful companies over many years. He’s a great facilitator, coach and mentor.

Ed is a game changer. I have only participated in his Vistage Group for less than 6 months and we have moved our company ahead 5 years.
