Nancie McDonnell Ruder is the founder and CEO of Noetic Consultants, a Bethesda, Maryland marketing and leadership consultancy she joined Vistage with in 2019. She describes how Ed Robinson’s group helps her see and think about things she’d otherwise miss — whether raised by another member, a guest speaker, or her own issues — with at least one “epiphany moment” every meeting that has saved money and prevented problems. Her leadership advice: show up well for your team and clients even (and especially) when you’re not feeling your best, because your energy and positivity set the tone for everyone else.
