Business GPA – How Healthy is Your Business?

How Healthy Is Your Business—Really?

Most business owners have a pretty good sense of how their company is doing. They know where things are going well, where they are struggling, and which issues keep finding their way back onto the agenda.

The challenge is that we often spend so much time working in the business that it becomes difficult to step back and objectively evaluate the business as a whole.

That’s why I created the Business GPA.

Every successful business must consistently perform well across a handful of fundamental areas. You can have strong sales and still struggle financially. You can have great people but weak execution. You can be profitable today while ignoring strategic issues that could create problems tomorrow. And sometimes the area getting the most attention isn’t actually the area that needs it most.

The Business GPA gives you a simple way to step back and grade your company across seven critical areas of business performance.

The goal isn’t to get a perfect score. Very few businesses would.

The goal is to create clarity.

Once you complete the assessment, you’ll receive an overall Business GPA, a report card showing where your business is strongest and weakest, and a ranked top-three action plan to help you determine where your attention can have the greatest impact.

Think of it as taking a moment to get out of the weeds, walk around your business, and look at it with fresh eyes.

As you answer the questions, be candid. Don’t grade the business you hope to have six months from now. Grade the business you are actually running today.

Then ask yourself the question that matters most:

Where would improving my grade have the biggest impact on the business?

You don’t need to fix everything at once.

You just need to know where to start.
